Mango Gulaman

This was the dessert on my Birthday Lunch. This recipe was from my Mom. Me and my family love this dessert. Its very easy to make, affordable and very delicious...yummy!




Ingredients

  1. 1 Mr. Gulaman
  2. 5 cups of water
  3. 1 can condensed milk
  4. 1 pack of nestle cream
  5. 1/2 cup of sugar
  6. 1piece of mango

Procedure
  1. Boil 5 cups of water,then put gulaman
  2. In another bowl combine condense milk,nestle cream and sugar
  3. wait for the gulaman to boil,then combine all mixture
  4. keep stirring
  5. slice the mango
  6. Mix in all the ingredients together and chill

Chili Lumpia with Cheese

I love dishes that are hot and spicy. My father was from bicol, so i grew up eating spicy food like bicol express,laing or any gata with sili will do. I got this recipe during one of our Team Inuman bonding. Its a perfect combo with Ice cold beer plus karaoke on the side.I change the recipe a bit this time i  added cheese so that it will not be to spicy..This one is still one of my menu on my birthday



Ingredients:

  1. 6-10 pieces siling labuyo (finger chili or siling haba)
    20 lumpia wrapper, cut straight on both sides
  2. cooking oil
  3. for filling-- you can buy a ready 1/4 shanghai mix or
  4. 1/2 kilo ground pork
  5. 1 large onion, peeled and minced
  6. 3 garlic cloves, peeled and minced
  7. 1 small carrot, pelled and grated
  8. 1 small celery, minced
  9. 1 teaspoon of salt
  10. 1 teaspoon of pepper
  11. 1 egg
  12. 10 slices of cheese (vertical cut)
Procedures

  1. Remove all the seeds inside the siling labuyo
  2. Cut a slit on one side of the siling labuyo
  3. I usually buy a ready mix lumpia shanghai but if you dont, just mix the ground pork,carrot,garlic,onion,celery,pepper and salt
  4. add the egg on the filling mixture
  5. Stuff the siling labuyo or chili with the meat, then put cheese on top
  6. Then, wrap each siling labuyo with lumpia wrapper
  7. Close the wrapper by dipping you finger in water.
  8. On a pan, heat oil then deep fry the Chili Lumpia until golden brown. Drain with paper.
    Serve with ice cold drinks. This is surely  hot!


    Baked Spare Ribs

    Still on my Bday Menu recipes, I decided to cooked Baked Spare Ribs, actually this is my first time to cooked this dish. Suprisingly it turns out pretty good.




    Ingredients:

    1. 12-16 pork spareribs (6 lbs) cut into single ribs
    2.  tablespoons Worchester sauce
    3. 2/3 tomato ketchup
    4. 1/2 cup mayonnaise
    5. 3 cloves garlic
    6. 1 diced onion
    7. 2 tablespoon soysauce
    8. 2 tablespoon sugar
    9. 3 cups of water
    10. 1 teaspoon of salt
    Procedures:
    1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F
    2. Wash clean pork ribs and drain. Heat oil in a big sause pan, saute garlic and onion
    3. Add pork ribs, stir and keep stirring for a few minutes
    4. Add soy sauce, stir and cover, simmer for 10 minutes over a very low fire
    5. Add ketchup,mayonnaise,sugar and water and simmer till the pork ribs is tender
    6. Place the ribs in an ungreased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan
    7. Bake at 325 degrees F for 1-1/2 hours or until just tender
    8. Turn off the stove and leave for a few minuts before eating.

    Birthday Menu

    I celebrated my birthday a week ago. I'm kinda torn to cooked Lasagna or Baked macaroni, for my birthday lunch, after few hours of thinking i decided to combine the 2..I going to use Baked mac elbow noodles with the lasagna recipe..

    Baked Macaroni With Bechamel Sauce






    Ingredients for Tomato Meat sauce                               Ingredients for White sauce
    1. 1/2 lean ground beef                                                      1. 3/4 cup butter
    2. 1/2 medium onion diced                                                 2. 1/4 cup flour
    3. 1/2 large bell pepper                                                      3. 2 cans Evaporating milk
    4. 1400 grams of elbow noodles                                        4. 1 teaspoon salt
    5. 1 can tomato sauce                                                        5. 1/4 teaspoon pepper
    6. 1/2 cup of tomato paste                                                 6. 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
    7. 8 oz of ricotta cheese or cheddar cheese
    8. 8 oz  sliced of mozzarella cheese
    9. 4 cloves Garlic or Garlic powder 
    10. 1 teaspoon of salt
    11. 1/4 cooking oil
    Procedure:

    1.  Preheat oven to 400F
    2. Prepare elbow noodles as stated on package
    3. Drain then set aside.
    4. Prepare Meat filling
    5. Heat oil,brown the garlic,add onion
    6. Put in the ground beef
    7. Allow to cook until browned
    8. Add tomato sauce, paste, salt and pepper
    9. Bring to a boil, lower heat then allow to simmer for a few minutes
    10. If sauce get too thick, add a little water,then set aside
    11. Prepare Bechamel Sauce
    12. Melt butter then add flour
    13. Add 2 cans of Evap
    14. Gradually stir
    15. Cook until bubbly and bit thick
    16. Season with salt, then set aside
    17. Grease a rectangular dish with butter
    18. Pour 1/3 of bechamel sauce
    19. Arrange the elbow pasta noodles.Spoon in tomato meat sauce and sprinkle with cheese
    20. Repeat number 19 End with bechamel sauce on the top layer
    21. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese
    22. Bake 400F until golden brown.
