Baked Macaroni With Bechamel Sauce
Ingredients for Tomato Meat sauce Ingredients for White sauce
- 1/2 lean ground beef 1. 3/4 cup butter
- 1/2 medium onion diced 2. 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 large bell pepper 3. 2 cans Evaporating milk
- 1400 grams of elbow noodles 4. 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 can tomato sauce 5. 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup of tomato paste 6. 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 8 oz of ricotta cheese or cheddar cheese
- 8 oz sliced of mozzarella cheese
- 4 cloves Garlic or Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 cooking oil
- Preheat oven to 400F
- Prepare elbow noodles as stated on package
- Drain then set aside.
- Prepare Meat filling
- Heat oil,brown the garlic,add onion
- Put in the ground beef
- Allow to cook until browned
- Add tomato sauce, paste, salt and pepper
- Bring to a boil, lower heat then allow to simmer for a few minutes
- If sauce get too thick, add a little water,then set aside
- Prepare Bechamel Sauce
- Melt butter then add flour
- Add 2 cans of Evap
- Gradually stir
- Cook until bubbly and bit thick
- Season with salt, then set aside
- Grease a rectangular dish with butter
- Pour 1/3 of bechamel sauce
- Arrange the elbow pasta noodles.Spoon in tomato meat sauce and sprinkle with cheese
- Repeat number 19 End with bechamel sauce on the top layer
- Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese
- Bake 400F until golden brown.
